Keto Garlic Bread

Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

Bread Base

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup almond flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional for extra flavor)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Garlic Butter Topping

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley (or fresh)
  • Optional: pinch of salt

Prep time: 10 minutes
Bake time: 12–15 minutes
Total time: 25 minutes


Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Preheat Oven

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.


Step 2: Melt Cheese for Dough

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine:

  • Shredded mozzarella
  • Cream cheese

Microwave for 60 seconds, stir, then microwave 20–30 seconds more until fully melted and smooth.


Step 3: Form the Dough

Add to melted cheese:

  • Almond flour
  • Baking powder
  • Egg
  • Garlic powder (optional)
  • Salt

Mix thoroughly. Dough will be sticky. Knead with lightly oiled hands until smooth. If too stiff, microwave 10 seconds to soften.


Step 4: Shape the Bread

  • Transfer dough to prepared baking sheet
  • Form into a loaf shape or rectangle, about 1/2–3/4 inch thick
  • Press dough gently to spread evenly

Step 5: First Bake

Bake 10–12 minutes until edges turn light golden.


Step 6: Prepare Garlic Butter Topping

In a small bowl, mix:

  • Melted butter
  • Minced garlic
  • Parsley

Brush evenly over partially baked bread.


Step 7: Final Bake

Return bread to oven for 2–3 minutes until butter is absorbed and garlic aroma is released.

Optional: broil 1 minute for lightly crisp top.

  • Soft, chewy inside
  • Slightly crisp edges
  • Rich garlic butter flavor
  • Stretchy and satisfying

If bread is too soft, bake 1–2 minutes longer.
If dry, reduce almond flour slightly or add 1 teaspoon extra cream cheese next time.


Flavor Variations

Cheesy Garlic Bread
Sprinkle shredded Parmesan or mozzarella on top before final bake.

Herb Garlic Bread
Add Italian herbs, oregano, or rosemary to dough and topping.

Spicy Garlic
Add pinch of red pepper flakes to garlic butter.

Garlic Breadsticks
Shape dough into sticks instead of loaf, bake 10–12 minutes.


Storage Instructions

Refrigerator
Store in airtight container up to 3 days. Reheat in oven or microwave.

Freezer
Wrap in foil and freeze up to 1 month. Reheat directly from frozen in oven.
